Becoming a Monthly Donor
Since 2021, Rainbow Refugee Society has supported over 1,200 LGBTQIA+ refugees as they rebuild their lives in British Columbia. Many arrived with nothing but fear and hope. Your monthly gift can be the reason someone finds shelter, walks into their hearing with legal support, or finds the strength to keep going.
But here’s the challenge:
While generous funding helps us grow our sponsorship program and welcome more refugees, the resources we rely on for everyday, urgent needs have almost disappeared. That means we sometimes have to say no, to someone without food, without transportation to attend English classes or find community, or to a small project that would bring joy, connection, and healing.
Your monthly donation goes where it’s needed most, keeping our support flexible, immediate, and deeply human. With you by our side, we can respond to urgent needs before it’s too late, sustain core programs like housing referrals, trauma support, and navigation, and fill the critical gaps that no one else is funding.
